The event kicks off on Friday with the annual car cruise, leaving the Zurich Community Centre at and ending at dusk with the spectacular fireworks show. On Saturday the pancake and sausage breakfast begins at , followed by the “bean meal” which consists of a smoked pork chop, applesauce, coleslaw, bun and baked beans. The midway and street market lasts all day, as does one of the largest custom rod and antiques car shows. About 800 cars, it’s quite something to see!!
The pork chop dinner is generous and very flavourful. There is a great family run bakery that sells the besssst pie. In addition there is also a dance and beer garden. Last year there were midway rides and booths selling all types of items set up on the street. This is a very big annual event for the village of Zurich. It is located about 10 minutes inland from Hummingbird Cottage.
