Some Areas of the Beach are Sandy Other Parts of the Beach are Pebbly Near the Shoreline.

It is a 2 minute walk to the access stairs to the beach

The beach is predominately sandy with more pebbles

off of the shoreline carried by the waves.

There are some large smooth stones under

the water, so pack your water socks.

If you prefer you may want to spend a day

at the main beach in Grand Bend.

Parking directly on the beach downtown is

$3.00 an hour or $15.00 per day.

Parking on the street  is free after mid September.

There are also a couple of municipal lots

off of the main street.

The beach downtown is sandy with only

a few stones under the water.

2011 season I will be providing a Pinery Provincial Park season pass to be used by guests at Hummingbird Cottage during their stay.  The pass allows the occupants of a vechicle entry into the Pinery for the day.  The Pinery is 27 kms south of Hummingbird Cottage.   The Pinery offers sports equipment rentals and a variety of activities for all ages see the link on my activities blog.
